One Nine Elms

Upon consultation with Thames Water, the client had taken the decision to keep the sewer pipe in place, and therefore required a specialist to develop a construction methodology that would enable construction of the basement whilst protecting this asset. Cambell Brown Engineers developed several construction methods for the Contracting team to selecte their prreffered solution, and Cambell Brown Engineers lead the discussions and approvals from Thames Water. Cambell Brown Engineers also undertook the concept planning of hte tower crane strategy to meet the frame, basement and main contractors requirements. This required the detailed design of five tower crane grillages all supported on plunge columns or diapharagm walls.
